depends on what version your on,try clicling on the cog in the bottom left of the main coverfloader screen if there is no auto update button then you will need to do it yourself from here wiicoverflow - CoverFloader - Google Project Hosting

what cios did you update too?
coverfloader is not the best usb loader if i was you i would delete it and install cfg or another loader Digital Kaos - Downloads - usb loaders

cios249 ver20, i have that cfg and that aint finding harddrive, but it was working before i tried messing around trying to get hawx 2 to work, and that would load, let you select the profile, campaign , then freeze on loading

what slot did you install rev 20 too? or did you use this Digital Kaos - Downloads - cIOS249[57]-v20 for COD black ops if not try installing the cios wad
what system menu are you on?
do you have cios 222/223?

right got harddrive working again with cfg but cant install it to channels using wad just getting ret 2011 error

try a newer wad manager Digital Kaos - Downloads - wad manager 1.7
what cios are you trying to install it with?

try Home of Multi-Mod-Manager - A multipurpose all-in-1 tool for Wii too patch your ios36 as this sounds like your problem.then you should be able to install wads without any problems.

that worked a treat thanks for the help on that, only thing i cant get it to do now is the cfg channel wont work just resets back to wii main menu, but it works fine through homebrew

sounds like you need ios58 installing read here BootMii.org
