    DVD PCB Board Replacement

Hi all, I have bought a faulty wii that won't read discs, on opening it up i have noticed that someone has snapped the plastic bit off where the dvd drive ribbon slots in from the console so therefore i believe this is the reason it will not work.

The pcb board is GC2-D1 can i just replace this board and if so do i need the same one , ie GC2-D1 or can i use a D3-2

    Thankyou.

if all you want to do is repair it and play originals then any board will do, but if you want to mod it and play backups then dont get a D3-2 or d4 drive as these cant play backups.

      Thankyou for quick reply.

It will be used to play originals and also for the use of usb loader.

Will game discs still install to hard drive through usb loader using different pcb?
