Wii IOS help - Back to virgin state

Hi, I aquired an old Wii, I think it might have been messed up by previous owner with a bad mod attempt, but not sure.. Ive been attempting to get it back to standard with no unofficial IOS's on it, so it just works properly.. It was on 2.1e, would not recognise any of several game disks inserted, but then found that Wii Sports Resort loaded up, which prompted for system update, which completed then system was 3.4.. That game now plays fine.. From then on the other older game disks were now seen, but prompting system update needed, but when selected it fails and reboots wii.. I then did an offline update to 4.2e using a pack.. But it still behaves the same.. So at the moment it can play Wii Sports Resort disk ok, but older games like Wiiplay or Brunswick Bowling only show System Update in disk channel, which fail immediately when selected, then Wii reboots..

I'll paste the Wii current installed IOS list below (from syscheck) at the moment I'd just like to get it to behave like a normal unmodded wii with 4.2 system, but Im now that clever to know what IOS should be installed or what shouldnt, if it should be patched or not, stub and trucha bug means nothing to me, ..

    Region: PAL
    System Menu 4.2E (v482)
Homebrew Channel 1.0.0 running on IOS0
    Hollywood v0x11
    Boot2 v0
    Found 50 titles.
Found 36 IOS on this console. 6 of them are stub.

    IOS4 (rev 65280): Stub
    IOS9 (rev 1034): No Patches
    IOS10 (rev 768): Stub

    IOS55 (rev 5663): No Patches
    IOS56 (rev 5662): No Patches
    IOS57 (rev 5919): No Patches
    IOS60 (rev 6400): Stub

    IOS70 (rev 6687): No Patches
IOS236 (rev 54321): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access
    BC v5
    MIOS v10

Just for the sake of it I did try starting to mod it, but that fails with Hackmii saying no vulnerable IOS.. Even the Hackmii fix doesnt sort it.. But as said, I'd prefer just to get into a virgin state so it just operates properly without any mod on it.. So if anybody can tell what needs to be changed I would really be happy, appreciate any help, thanks...

Thanks for NUSD link, unfortunately I dont know what IOS's and what versions should be on a 4.2 system.. I assume all should be unpatched and not mentioning trucha bug?? I just dont know.. I havnt got an untouched virgin wii with 4.2 that I can compare syscheck list to..

I dont want to update through wii menu, it'll take it up to 4.3 (which will make it darned hard to do anything) and considering the Wii Sports Resort disk update didnt make it all good after taking it to 3.4, nor did the 4.2 pack update I did.. I fear online update to 4.3 will still leave some system or IOS problem...

        what to do

well thats a first somebody wanting to have a standard wii instead of a modded one.
just do a system update to 4.3 it wont hurt your wii but should wipe out your mod, if you still have the homebrew channel showing on the main menu after the update then just uninstall it from the wii settings.

It hasnt got homebrew channel.. I want it to work properly as a virgin wii should, then I'll decide if I want to go and mod it fully (or sell it)... I want it to be able to load original Wii disks properly before messing it up more. You see, I dont want to mod it only to find its still not working properly.. As I said in original post, its not loading all the official game disks properly.. Also, I dont believe system update to 4.3 will wipe out the problem, as when it went from 2.1 to 3.4 from the sports resort disk update it still had issues after, nor did the update from 3.4 to 4.2 cure it... There has to be something wrong with the currently installed IOS files, or something is missing, but I dont know what, and so far the 3.4 and 4.2 official updates havnt cured it.. The IOS list from syscheck means nothing to me, I cant see whats wrong, I dont know what it should look like or contain if it was virgin fresh 4.2 on an unmodded wii..

If I do an online update to 4.3 it may result with the wii still containing IOS abnormalities (as it still did after the 3.4 and 4.2 update) And, with 4.3 on it I'll then no longer be able to do much without then getting exploit game disks..

ok your syscheck says you have the homebrew channel.
some of the games your trying to play may need a certain iso to allow the game to play thats why its asking for an update.
what are these games that are asking to update?
are you sure you have a sound internet connection to allow the games to update?

I see your using Homebrew Channel 1.0.0 is that the latest version you could find? I use Homebrew Channel 1.0.8 on IOS58. Is that because of the exploit game disc?
