Update advise with chipped wii please

    Hi
Got the kids a wii when they first came out and it has been working ok on all disks used in it .
I originally programmed a pic chip and later fitted one of the newer type of modchip but cannot remenber which one but i know it was changed because of a update issue.
Today my daughter tried to run the zumba disk and it wants to update.
As I have totally lost track of the wii mods both hard and soft I had a look on the net and am not sure which way to go.
The wii is on 3.4e firmware which works fine for us as we do not connect it to the net.
Ideal fix would be to get past update without having to go through different menu screens so it is disk in and play
Is this possible with a newer chip or some software mod or can the update part by stripped off the iso
    Thanks

Well if you've hard modded your Wii with a chip and you can't remember who's chip or what you did then that won't help you.

If you have softmodded it as well you should have installed PriiLoader 0.7 as there are options in there to block online and game disc updates.

So your not connected to the web so you have disabled this or you have no WiFi through the Wii then?

You could update your softmod to f/w 4.1 with http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...indows-170234/ and install priiloader, this will allow you to block disc updates. Don't think priiloader can be installed on f/w lower than 4.1. That will sort your softmod, know ~~~~ all bout hardmods, sorry

I have only hardmodded it . I am not sure but d2pro rings a bell.
When the kids first got it we had it on wifi but after they had had a play about it never got used so I disabled it to make sure a update did not come through which would cause problems.
Up to trying this zumba disk all other games have worked with no updates.
As it not softmodded what would be the best way to go to ugrade the firmware so I can block future updates.
        Thanks

as red says mod it with this http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...indows-170234/ and use the same program to safely get you to the firmware version you want to be on.

If your system is 3.4E than you shouldn't have any problem playing burnt DVD games with NeoGamma and PriiLoader 0.7 should install to block any updates.

Modmii to 4.2e is prob the way,

then use priiloader to block future updates that way youll have all the system ios's you will need.
