i have a wii i got from internet an it has homebrew channel on it i was told that i have to put some thing on the sd card an i can play the back up games off usb storage device it is version 4.2e

try and post a syscheck (its an app for seeing what is installed on your wii)

Yes you need to install one of the USB Loaders available, USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader or WiiFlow. Have a read in black wii 4.2e softmod or Wii 4.2E softmod tutorial. Easy to follow guide.Keith
