wii error message

hi can you please help i have a wii it is not modded it now comes up with error please remove the disc and switch off your system

i might be way off but sounds like you need to strip it down and a lead has come off is it clicking when you put a disk in m8

you need a new laser for it,
they are about ?10 on ebay.

bit of an extreme measure without trying other options.
will it read any games?
try cleaning the lens with a cd lens cleaner.

thanks will try to strip it down and clean it but first i think i need a triangle screwdriver.the system does also make a clicking when you put in the discs but has doen this for a while.i will let you know how i get on
