Help with updating 3.4e to 4.2e

Hi guys,

This is my first thread on here and im hoping you can help me.

I have a 3.4e Wii. And I want to get it upto 4.2e so it can basically run everything.

I have installed homebrew channel on it and used the safe 4.2 update program found in your forums but my firmware and dashboard is still 3.4e have i done anything wrong here?

4.2 updater did everything, downloaded everythin and installed everything

have you tried switching off and unplugging for a few seconds then rebooting?
and have you done the full softmod or just installed the hb channel?
