Wii soft mod update

Hi about 2years or so I soft modded my wii with the home brew cannel I now want to download some new games but scared of bricking my wii do I need to put the latest verson of soft mod on or can I just download new games and will they play
I remember using a program to make the games safe but forgot what it was

Which Wii version are you?

Providing you have PriiLoader 0.7 installed and set to block online and disc updates you will be fine.

I always use Wii brick blocker on the ISO files before burning them, it only takes seconds to get rid of any updates.

On the other hand if you use a USB loader and hard drive combo then all updates are removed when putting the games on the hard drive.
