Usb loader gx loads but Wii drive turns blue and locks up.

Hi guys, before i try loads of different things i thought i should post first.

Wii starts fine, lets me go on main screen channels etc.
Ive clicked on Usb Loader Gx and can see all the games/covers etc.

Soon as i click on a game the drive locks up and the Wii is frozen.

Not tried to much yet only checked the drive on Wbfs Mananger and all the games seem to be there.

Was only downloading a missing cover when this happened, any ideas or what to try.

    Thanks in advance

    Andy.

Edit, ive done a bit of searching and im guessing my first options are to update Gx and my wads.
Will have a bash when i get home from work tomorrow.
If HH CK or Keith follow this thread can you leave me a little note thanks if thats my best option

Have you used the file i sent you yet...If so your cios wads are all up to date and gx is the latest there is but hey have been messing about with trying to get the full nand emulation to work and have revised it a couple of times since, so there may still be bugs in it. If this is the case delete the gx folder from your apps folder and then use the gx folder from the apps folder in this file Digital Kaos - Downloads - USBLoader GX 2.3 all in one package ios249 it is still gx 2.3 but is 1 revision down before they tried to get full nand emulation working so may be a bit more stable.

Sorry Andy all my 3 USB Loaders work with GX 2.3. You would have to backtrack to see what you've changed before it started locking up.

I had a strange thing over the weekend, I said my friends GX shows the ABC alphabetic sort but mine didn't and we both did the same 2.3 online update.

I borrowed my friends HDD to put more games on it and I borrowed his SD card to add D2X v7 cios pack. I put his SD card in mine and it showed the ABC so I thought I would copy the usbloader_gx apps folder and the config folder that holds all the settings and images. I put the SD card back in mine and it still doesn't show ABC.

In Usbloader gx 2.3 r1128 and d2x v7 with mmm for installation.rar the USB Loaders GX in there is only the apps folder.

If you check the wads folder you will find the forwarder. The pack was set up with the instructions for a batch install of all the wads in the wad folder. And in the instructions you will find everything you need.

Formatted Sd card and followed your easy tut and still the same.
Everything seems to load up but as soon i select a game the Wii locks up and the drive turns blue.
Thinking its possibly my western digital drive as discs play ok on the Wii.
My only concern is that all my games show up ok on Wbfs Manager.
Could do with trying another hard drive to see if that makes a difference.
Update, some games are now working but its 50/50 at the moment which ones that work.

Ok you can try your lads girlfriend 1tb drive to see if most of them play ok. I don't know how big your WD drive is?

Ultimately you going to have take your games off if you don't have backups and format the drive NTFS thats Windows NTFS not the game type which will show up any errors. Then do a full Scandisk scan to see if anything else shows up. Big drives can take hours.

Use your original forwarder then. Not all forwarders work with all setups. Eg I can't use an mplayer ce forwarder because it causes a stack dump everytime I exit but other people have no problems with the same forwarder. I only included that one because I know it loads from usb. You should also try installing it on it's own instead of in a batch that quite often works as well.
What games can you get to work and what ones don't. Remember you have changed your cios bases. If you had black ops running on 249(57) it will now run on 250 as that is now your 57 base. Singing type games run on 245/246.

That error means it is trying to install to ios 58...... In mmm use the wiimote to navigate down to reload with a different ios...or something along those lines. Click it and that will bring up a box of numbers, if it isn't already on 249 select 249 and press A the forwarder wad will now install

Checked that and it says current ios61 v5405) so i hit A and 249 is lit.
This changed and reloads and now says current ios is ios249 v21007)
I can now put the forwarder channel on but it doesnt work it just does a loop.
When i go back to check change ios its gone back to the original ios61 and isnt saving to ios249.
I can load off the gx loader though homebrew but not as a forwarder channel with the current wads and app you told me to use.

Update, tried my old sd card with original wads and still the same after i installed wads.
Wont load at all from forwarder and everytime i go back and check ios its on ios 61.
Does this mean i better try and remod it?

                              Andy.
