Just an after thought if you are fed up trying to get the correct cios for your games to work have a look at the neek2o threads. This is a virtual virgin wii that runs all backups from the original wii ios no more guessing just load the game and it will work...Only downfall is that wifi for online play isn't perfect yet. The set up is not as difficult as it looks.Comment

I have opened the can and given everybody a spoon in http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-about-240991/ and then held it up to the open mouth in http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...-guide-241036/
can't do any more unless you want to post me your hdd and I'll set it up
......And that really is a joke....just had visions of a white van turning up outside my house with meathead motors on the side and a load of dodgy looking characters hard drive in hand clambering out the back

It solves all game loading problems. Basically you create a brand new 4.3 nand and put it on your hdd you then launch neek2o from a channel just like any other loader or forwarder. This reboots the wii and loads from the health and safety screen. You are now running the 4.3 nand you made earlier. There is a modified version of wiiflow on the nand wich launches all your .wbfs game files from the fat 32 partition on your hdd. No cios required. The emu nand uses the unmodified wii ios the same as an original disc would,,,, oh and one more huge bonus...you cannot brick an emulated wii nand. So if you have anything you want try out do it on the emu nandComment

I do keith and it works perfectly. The lad has finished it, or so he says, tried an ntsc game on a 4.3 e nand and that loaded as well, so looks like it is also region freeComment

and all future games too by the sound of it..
need to try this tomoz...
sounds too good to be true..

I'm beginning to suspect my hard drive is about to fail.
The game has loaded successfully from gx twice out of 11 attempts. Similar stats are observed when using uLoader, although it does get to the remote calibration screen before typically crashing. Games that were transferred onto the disk some time ago (eg: Black Ops) load consistently with no issues.
I am wondering if there is an issue developing with the external disk which is causing .iso files which have been copied across most recently to have data corruption. The wbfs partition on the disk is near capacity too... perhaps that is related in some way (though I cannot see why it would be tbh)
The disk draws it's power from USB so this evening I will change the USB cable and the connection on the desktop machine I transfer games from and copy again. Following that, I will test with another external USB disk.
I see that the final dx pack has been released by happy highlander.... I'll also update those.Comment

Are you trying to load zelda with the partial emu band selected. This was causing a problem for some people with some games, me included, but not any particular game it was a bit random. The final v7 seems to have sorted that. I tested mw3 last night after extracting game save to emu band and it worked perfectComment

No mate, up to now I have not tried anything fancy with nand emulation or anything like that... just getting the games to load consistently by changing the IOS in load settings.
My USB disk has a NTFS partition with a back-up of all my wii related apps/wads etc and a WFBS partition with the .iso files on.
Tonight I've done the following:
Transferred the Zelda .iso to the disk again, keeping an eye on the data transfer rate, which looked OK.
Upgraded IOS58 and reinstalled HBC1.08 to enable better USB support and then updated all the DX wads to the final version.
For a time I thought I'd cracked it after that. Zelda loaded with consistency on default load settings when I set hard disk settings as follows:
Game/install partition: wbfs
Multiple partitions: off (I have also tried "on")
Install directories: Gamename [GAMIED] (to match Wii Backup Manager)
Game split size: Split each 4GB (WBFS is similar to Fat32 IIRC, so I thought that best.... I have tried 'No splitting' too)
Install partitions: All partitions (I have also tried 'Only game partition')
I was just about to power down and I decided to check Black Ops. You know what I'm going to say.... now it was that game that was failing to load despite having no problems previously!!!
I had thought that MW3 and Black Ops were loading consistently but perhaps I had just got 'lucky' for a time.
I've tried tinkering with the hard disk settings but to no avail. Loading MW3/Black Ops/Zelda in rotation and the only consistent thing is the complete lack of consistency with the way the loader is behaving with these .iso's. I'm getting pretty fed up of this now, I don't mind saying.
I've run a syscheck. Is there anything in there that looks dodgy? Perhaps some IOS patch or an apparently unrelated cIOS that's on the incorrect version?Attached FilesComment

At a glance everything looks okay but my heads mush at the minute. You have a lot of subbed ios though. What version of gx are you using....I uploaded a new version in the mmm pack for andy 91 but can't remember what thread it is on. When I was testing gx to death. I was getting a lot of black screens and other errors but they were all under partial emu nand. Make sure that in the main gx settings make sure that nand emulation is set to off. I have finished trying to kill gx with the first set of v7 cios. I will have another go to see if it stands up to abuse on the final version. I will add under normal use and not quick fire multiple loading it had been working fine which is why I put it on. nobody else seems to having this problem and I'm thinking it may be a bad transfer of gx. You could try deleting everything that resembles gx and then extract them straight from pc to the drive and folder you intend to use them from.Comment

That comment about a corrupted gx rang true. I uninstalled the full channel and unpacked all the latest gx files over the existing ones on the SD and re-installed the forwarder channel under IOS236 using MMM13.4...
Everything is now behaving as it should!
It's been a frustrating couple of days but I got there in the end. Thanks for your help mate.
I'm going to take a look at your Neek2o project next. I envisage the kids dominating the Wii when they break up tomorrow but I'll get that sorted out when they're back at school.Comment

Neek2o is not as difficult as it looks just be sure to take your time and read everything. If possible copy and paste all files for transfer instead of drag and drop, you will get less transfer problemsThat comment about a corrupted gx rang true.
