    wbfs crashes

wbfs continually locks up when I attempt to mount my drive to load games, I got a game on it in the last hour but then it locked up again! Any other programs I can use to transfer games to my usb drive from pc ? Or anyone know of a fix for wbfs ?

What software are you using to do the transfer(s)? What model hdd are you using?

    Edit (adding links):

The drive is compatible, I have put numerous games on it before, I llso loaded a game today and the program froze at the end of loading. Your link above doesn't work, thanks for responding tho.

Well I've never seen a Mount button/option on my WBFS Manager I just find the iso's and click Add to Drive and it works everytime.

How long have you been using WBFS Manager there is WBFS Manager 3.0.1 out which I use.

Your drive could be have bad sectors but the only way to check that would be to remove all the games of it if you don't have backups and format it NTFS the full format will tell you of any errors and a full scandisk on the drive will tell you more.

For mount replace with Load! I've been using WBFS for quite a while with no errors before today, I have upgraded to 3.0.1 and deleted my .net framework and reinstalled. Thanks for the reply though.

Thats sounds worse just Add to Drive?

You will have to check your drive then if it still shows the error.

Keith it seems there is some misunderstanding here so lets try and clear it up .
I load the drive in WBFS and the program crashes, I cannot Add to Drive as the drive isn't being recognised by the software. Looks like I'm going to have to format the drive and start again. The drive is still working on the Wii though which seems strange.

Try wii backup manager instead of wbfs manager

                  ****Update****
Reformatted the drive using sea tools, then formatted using backup manager, loaded games, all seemed fine, connected to wii using coverflow, error....drive not formatted press 1+2 to format drive
Pressed 1+2 formatted drive with coverflow, reinstalled games, coverflow still wont load the games although it does see them now.
Tried neogamma 9, it just freezes after mounting drive.

                  Help !

Whats so special about sea tools?

I've never used Coverflow is that the only USB Loader you have?

Well I still say you need to do a thorough check on the drive to be sure.

It's the only dedicated one and always worked for me, but I'm open to advice on others. I tried the usb option in neogamma 9 but it failed too.

I did do a thorough check on the drive, hence sea tools, Maxtors dedicated software for their drives, all is fine with the drive according to the results.

I have now got to the point where the wii is recognising the drive and the wii games, but is now returning 002 error on coverflow.

Well all I can suggest at the moment is give the other 3 USB Loaders a try. I use USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader and WiiFlow and they all work for me. I use USB Loader GX the most because I like the layout and functions.

I know it maybe a silly question but your using the correct USB socket the one near the edge I assume?

Just recapping on whats been said you don't mension which Wii system menu your using?

Yes correct usb socket, I have been able to get the games to run with neogamma 9 now, its on an sd card, need a channel. Off to search.

Thanks to all who have offered advice, assistance.

Well NeoGamma 9 is an app for running burnt games and that one works ok everytime for you?

I've tried NeoGamma R8 but it won't play burnt discs on mine because I have the newer DVD drive (DVD read error 1167) I installed the forwarder channel if thats any use to you?

switch on 002 error fix in coverfloader settings and all will be well.
