how to play copied games on wii

hi all
imm just about to softmod my wii 2006 model
wot do i need to mod it as in sd card and can i the copy games to disc rather go this route not the hd route so the firm ware i need and any thin else for burning games and the regions i can use on it
and do i need to leave the sd card in when i have had it modded

This will depend on your Wii version at 2006 its one of the earlier ones so you should be able to burn games to a DVD using ImgBurn which is free but you will need quality DVD not these 50 for ?20 crap.

You may as well update the system version to 4.3 online then you can use LetterBomb else contrary to popular belief you will need to buy an original game disk to softmod it.

Follow the softmod details on here and do a NAND backup as your first job after softmodding. Then you need to add NeoGamma R8 to your SD card and installed forwarder channel so it on the Wii menu so you can play burnt games. After you have added a NeoGamma to your SD card you still needs the SD card inserted to run NeoGamma from the forwarder.

Personally I would use an external hard drive as once you've bought one you can forget it otherwise you will have to keep buying DVD's to burn these games to and you could end up with hundreds of these so you would need to store these somewhere.

After you have softmodded you need to install PriiLoader 0.7 to block online and disc updates plus you can do other tweaks.

You will need to buy a 2GB SD card to put the HackMii files on that you download.

Hi Keith, I've just softmoded my Wii 4.3E....my only trouble remains that I can't play Burnt Copy of Wii Games through NeoGamma R8, CODE ERROR ......

1167 is the error I got thats because I have the later DVD player. Stick to the USB Loader GX.

stick your serial number in here Wii Drive Chip Database to find out what drive you may have.
if your drive is not a d3-2 then use a quality dvd-r like verbatim burning with imgburn on slow speed also try cleaning the laser with a dvd lens cleaner and update your cios Digital Kaos - Downloads - Full Cios wad pack

Hi Keith & CK...thanks for your input so far, still can't play any game. As mentioned earlier, I have softmoded my Wii 4.3E (gr8 help from Keith). I have installed all the related software but in vain. I have even tried on HDD (Transcend - 1TB), USB Loader GX also don't recognise.

Since I have softmoded my Wii 4.3E Black, I haven't yet enjoyed it differently i.e., playing Hack games etc...

I am Humbly requesting for Help so that the softmoding mean something at the end.

If needs arise to re-install all Hack files, I'll be doing it just to make this work accordingly.

Grateful if I can be provided with new guides or fixing the same problems with new software.

The reason you can't play games from disc with neogamma is because all black wii's have the new chip, you say gx is not recognizing the hdd. What exactly is happening, is gx going straight back to the main wii menu or do you see the waiting for your slow usb device screen
