quick question about my wii

ok i have had my wii since close to launch and got it modded as soon as the wiikey came out. i have had trouble updating my wiikey and eventually just quit updating it so i am using like 1.8 for it or something .

anyway my question is will this affect me using a USB hd loader for my wii? i want to play a new game which is only available in europe and japan and i dont want to bother with trying to get it to work on a dvd so can i use the loader with the wiikey?

Well I'm not sure about wiikey as I've never used it. The only conflict that I can think of is which IOS wiikey uses whether it clashes with the USB Loader cIOS.

You would be better of using USB Loaders anyway.

The thing to do is a sysCheck and post your results back in here then we can see which IOS's are being used and which aren't.

If you want to run Japanese games surely the language and text will be in Japanese?

i am not sure the wiikey uses an IOS it doesnt change my menus or anything and i can still play games i buy i can just also play ones i burn to a DVD. i will run the syscheck when i get a chance and post anyway.

and the game i want to play is available in Europe and Japan so there is an english version for europe its just not available in america and it runs on the PAL format instead of NTSC so it should work by forcing NTSC

We don't know your Wii version yet I was going to look for that info in your syscheck report.

You can still play burnt games with the newer NeoGamma R8 but I would have thought you would be better of installing USB Loader GX then you can play PAL and NTSC games of the same external HDD I can, then you won't need to buy good quality DVD's everytime you burn a game?

Wiikey will have no effect on any softmod or usb loader, just do a standard softmod and install your preferred loader
