4.3e nand backup

Hi guys,
I am trying to make a backup of my nand on my softmodded 4.3e, what i need is a step by step tut & links for files to put on the sd card, i got hbc & priiloader v0.7 installed but i do not hav boot mii folder in the root of my sd card.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

You obviously didn't follow the tutorial you used as the NAND backup is the very first job you need to do after softmodding?

Well you going to have to run the softmod again but on the list of 3 options just choose number 3 Prepare SD card the will make the [bootmii] folder on the SD card which is needed before you can run BootMii to do the NAND backup.

You don't say with method you used LetterBomb or a game disc. So make sure you have a 2GB or less SD card inserted with the hackmii files on it so softmod with run again. If you have softmodded you should have these files somewhere.

Then you can do your NAND backup from PriiLoader menu or as you exit HBC. Now your remote won't work in that part so you have to using the Power\Reset\Eject buttons. To navigate the icons so press it 3 times to the gear icon on the right. Then press the Reset button to change to the next screen then press Reset again to backup your NAND just follow the instructions and wait until its finished. You can now navigate back to the Wii menu.

Now you need to save the [bootmii] folder the keys.bin and nand.bin files of the root of the SD card to somewhere save as you will need these files\folder back on the SD card it you do happen to brick your Wii to restore the NAND on the second icon on the second screen.

I used the letterbomb method, when i redo the softmod will i lose the internet channel & bbc iplayer channel or can i redo it without losing what i have up to now.

No you won't loose any channels you had before.

I said to run the softmod again but only choose the Prepare SD card options that will put the [bootmii] folder on the SD card so you can do a NAND backup, so you aren't softmodding again are you?



When you downloaded Letterbomb.zip from the LetterBomb site after you entered your MAC number did the message show up in your Wii meassages?

I downloaded Letterbomb.zip over the weekend just to see what files are in there so I had to enter my MAC number but my LetterBomb message hasn't shown yet. I wonder if it looks for the files on the SD card before it starts HBC install?

I had 2 messages one was from Nintedo saying the Kirby channel was being removed on th 15th Dec but I can't see what the other message is.

All sorted now done the nand backup & burned it to disc, also no it did not show in message board .
I am sorry if i sound a right plank but i dont normally mod the wii, my main modding is the xbox 360 phat & slim , so i a new to this kind of mod

So after you softmodded it did you install anything else or did you just have the Homebrew channel on the Wii menu?

Well if your happy with what I've told you and you now have a NAND backup tick the Thanks button in post #2?
