This is about the games you download from Wii shop channel. I know that you can't put the games on a sd card and try to play it on a different wii because I've tried it and if you can't do that then when your wii breaks, do you just lose your games or is there a way to get it back. I know that if you lose those games you can still go re-download those games with the wii that you first downloaded those games with free of charge because you already bought it. So if your wii dies, do you smply lose them and have to re-buy them again. My wii still works by the way, I'm just curious

This happened with us, early on when a BEN 10 game killed our wii. We sent it in and they ended up giving us a completely different Wii. We know someone that works for NIN. All we did was called into to the NIN customer support number and told them we just had our wii replaced, gave them the serial numbers and what-not.
Long story short, they can allow you to re-download on a new wii ... disabling the original wii's ability to re-download if you just call in and let them know what's going on. They will allow only one wii to have legal rights to the download per purchase.sigpic
