Hi all, I have a few questions please (might be me a noob.....)
-is there any way to see if a wii console has been hacked before but nothing different on the initial blocks display
-if I get a wii on 4.2e is it better upgarde it to 4.3 to the latest wiifirmware with a wi-fi download or keep it to 4.2.
I am going to use a portable hdd for games I don't think I am going to burn my original games on dvd. Just thinking about future games that might come out, I suppose I would like to understand if I can play newer games (that take a normal non hacked wii to 4.3) on a 4.2 without a problem?

as no game is required anymore, you'd be as well to update to 4.3 because if you stay on 4.2 you will have to update the shop channel to get newer games to work. Generally if the wii has been hacked it will have the homebrew channel on the system menu, but you will not know by what method it had been hacked. Your best bert is to use modmii and use the full hack wizard that way if theres any traces of a previous hack they will be overwritten giving you an up to date base to start with. I understand you may be a bit wary hacking another 4.3 but modmii is a simpler process and you already know a lot more than you think you do, namely reading everything and making sure you understand it before you do it. tempo I will repeat make sure you are using priiloader v0.7 preferably the 236 mod version if you are going to be installing it into 236 I think this may be where things went wrong the last time. Installing into ios 236 did not brick the wii it just may not have installed it correctly leaving you with no protection.
