    question regarding dx2 v7 download

Is difference between dx2 v7 final here and the one on wiiflow home page? I'm having issues with USB loaders freezing randomly, or constantly loading during gameplay on dance games. Syscheck states I have final, but I have been searching for a resolution since November

    What is your Wii version?

Does this happen with every game or just some?

What is the link to the WiiFlow home page your using? WiiFloWiki

Your sysCheck is showing d2x final so you must have installed that one.

d2x v7 Final is in the download section.

I'm not at home at the moment so I can't tell you the difference between both d2x final updates.

Try changing the USB Loader to USB Loader GX 2.3.

There will be no difference in d2x packs as they all come from the same source so if you have installed v7 final and are still having problem then change your loader or go back to v6 and see if that helps

Thanks for quick replies, I will try to install dx2 v6. But my Wii version is 4.3u. This happens on most games, sometimes it looks like it quits loading the next section of the game, as soon as I continue, it locks up. Thought it was a drive issue, had a Seagate 500 usb powered drive, thought it had a spin down issue. Got a 500 GB wd, also USB powered, both which are in the compatibility list. Formatted fat32.
And yes wiiflowiki. And I don't want to think it's a loader, because I've tried cfg, GX, and r415 to r417a of wiiflow. have the latest revision of the loaders, but the lock ups are completely random. But I will try dx2 v6 and post back. Thanks again.

Well mine is 4.3E and all mine play ok on all 3 USB Loaders. Do a sysCheck and follow the instructions in there for posting the results, lets have a look at which IOS's you have installed?

Sorry for the mess, had to post from the mobile. I've tried manually updating, pimp my wii. But maybe this will help you guys, help me. I will still try dx2 v6, unless something else is seen I need to fix. Thanks

Well according to that report you don't have IOS249 d2x installed download d2x v7 Final in the download section.

I would also download ModMii and run ModMii.exe from Windows and put the sysCheck.csv on the root of the drive because that easier than typing the full location of sysCheck.csv when you choose SU from the menu.

When ModMii starts it will check for newer versions and it will prompt you to install then newer 5.0. That will check the sysCheck.csv and give you a list of newer wads and put them in the COPY_TO_SD_CARD sub folder. Copy those wads to the SD card and install those with MMM.

The onscreen display does report that Dx2 v7 final is install, but the report just doesn't display the title at the end of the 21007, but i will run the recommended software, and check updates, thanks. will post back with results

Well the on screen report should be exactly the same as the sysCheck.csv on the root of the SD card.

Well I used Modmii to "rehack" the Wii. Downloading all the wads, and following all the steps in the guide provided by modmii. Will report back as soon as it's tested. Thanks for the support, and very quick replies. Just dance 3 still gives me a reading disc a couple times a song, and when left on shuffle it will come up to reading disc... and the ... will scroll but have to power cycle with holding the power button. But one of many tested.., and could to many games be a problem on a USB loader?

While I was playing around, I copied my SD contents to the fat32 USB drive. And I've noticed times where I load homebrew it will not detect the contents of the drive, I have to reset then it will detect it. And a few times had to power cycle the wii...again. Not giving something to point fingers at , just letting you know what I've observed so far. But I will try a 3rd drive, when I can. But let me know if this can be expected, due to me not modifying a wii in a couple years, and fat/ntfs was not possible then.

If you are going to try a third drive use one that is not usb powered and rule that part out because I think that is where your problem lies. I know you have said they are in the compatible list but for some reason not all wii's can produce enough power for the drives

Would using a y-cord cord resolve the USB power issue, if there is a power issue?

Well I guess it's a power issue. Copied the games to a 1tb 3.5 sata drive I've been using for back ups, plugged in a powered USB adapter I've had sitting around, and no more problems. Now its a issue of powering the usb drive I've got for the wii. But.thanks for all the replies. I'll let you guys know if the y cord works. And will see if cuttinginto the usb cable, after I try the y cord, using a cell phone charger. Lastly modmii is great, thanks for the recommendation.
