    wont play backups

    iv got a modded wii,i can play games from a hard drive,but cant update the covers. and it wont play back ups on dvd,says drive too new for dvd-rs.

    i done a syscheck and this is the report:-

    Most newer Wii's won't play burnt discs as HH says they chipped them and I thought they changed the DVD drive to stop you playing burnt games.

    Type in the serial number into Wii Drive Chip Database to see when it was made?

    The reason you can't download any game covers to the SD card is because it needs a web connection to do this, check out your WiFi connection. All 3 USB Loaders use the same procedure.

    Look at that sysCheck if appears you have only d2x v7 final on IOS249 and IOS250 you may as well have done the others at the same time IOS222, IOS223, IOS224 and IOS236 at the same time. Download and install all 6 of them again d2x v7 final

      thanks for the quick reply,ive tried the wii drive chip database and it doesnt recognise the serial number.not a problem less dvds to have lying around .the wii is telling me that im connected to my wireless connection so bit strange.il double check it again.thanks

        Mmm... maybe using the LAN connector? most of the apps i've installed that dont work on WIFI, works with the USB LAN adapter!.
