help me please I got stuck on softmodding

Hi, I am tring to softmod my wii and I got stuck....before I have bricked one so I will wait for some help before going blind: wii is on 4.3e and I have used letterbomb with success to load HBC, lucky me I have install Bootmii as boot2 (managed to get a old second hand one) but now I am about to do a nand backup and I get stuck. The sd card still inside the wii and when I load HBC, press "load BootMii", press 3times power, 1time reset and on the screen come up:

    -exit
    [private]
    [bootmii]
    boot.elf
    install~1.log

I am following modmii for windows. So how do I perform the nand backup? please help
    Many thanks

Very sorry I only pressed the first time two time.....I am a noob sorry again

Well I would have thought you had been here long enough to read current threads?

Anyway you've softmodded your Wii and I assume you followed all 3 processes.

    1. Install Homebrew
    2. Install BootMii on boot or IOS which ever it says is available.
    3. Prepare SD card - this makes the [bootmii] folder on the SD card so you can run Bootmii to do a NAND backup.

You are showing [bootmii] at the bottom of you post so I'm assuming you did 3. Prepare SD card.

Exit the HackMii installer which goes straight to the Homebrew channel. Because you have no apps in the apps folder it won't show anything only bubbles.

Press the Home button and various buttons will show click on Launch Bootmii. From here on the wiimote won't work you have to navigate using the Power button to switch icons and the Reset button to select an icon.

Now just follow the tips I've shown in NAND backup and the link undernether I found http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...loader-109168/

Keith thank you for your help. Yes I think I have managed to softmod my wii, still some problem that I would like to ask you please:

At the moment when I switch on my wii the blue light flash once and on the screen appear bootmii menu. I have to press power button to select the wii icon and it goes to wii menu.....is there any way to go straight to wii menu?
Second I have learnt that if wii at the switching on flash 2 times I have installed bootmii as boot2, which it is what I have done but it flash only once.
Now the last question please, I have followed modmii for windows and at the moment I have on my wii a
USB loader block (black portable hdd spinning on the wii menu block picture) in the information it says
      configurable loader version V70,
      Is it the best one?
      Many thanks

Sorry my last reply was a quick one from work.

I think the number of CD slot flashes depends on your Wii version. I wouldn't worry about the number of flashes. The slot will flash if you get a message from Wiiconnect24 if its set to use this.

If it boots up to BootMii thats because its seeing the [bootmii] folder on the SD card thats because BootMii is on boots2 as you've said. Just rename the folder to something else bootmii1 or bootmii.old or anything apart from the original name then you should boot to the Wii menu. Or as HH suggested last night remove the SD card before you startup the Wii the insert it back in after its go to the Wii menu, but thats a bit of a pain everytime.

Did you softmod it from ModMii or use LetterBomb?

As my sig shows I use USB Loader GX, CFG USB Loader and WiiFlow. I use USB Loader GX 95% of the time I think its better for the cracks that work easier with that not with the other two.

The 3 main USB Loaders use the same cIOS249 before they will work so if one works they generally all work.

I only leave the bootmii folder on the sd during the softmod. Hence not bothering to rename, I then remove it completely from the sd after successful completion and store it elsewhere, especially for newbies that way they can't mess things up, but I'll leave this one to you keith unless I'm asked otherwise

Ok, the first thing of renaming bootmii folder worked fine, now interesting my wii when I switch it on flashes 2 time and go straight to the wiimenu.
Before doing something more on the usb side, I would like to install syscheck just to be on the safe side....can I go for it?
            Many thanks

2 blue flashes on console startup means you have bootmii as boot2 nothing to worry about

Well if he has used ModMii it hasn't updated to d2x v8 he only has d2x v7 on IOS249 and IOS250 he may as well install all 6 of them from d2x v7 final

When you run ModMii it checks if your using the newest version and asks if you want to update or you can download the lastest Modmii 6.0.3

You can download the USB Loader GX Easy installer (for Windows) - from USB Loader GX. You run the USBLoaderGX_Installer.exe from Windows with the SD card inserted in the computer and it writes all the files to the SD card folders.

Or the apps part is on here Usbloader gx 2.3 r1128 and d2x v7 with mmm 13.4.
