hi im new to all this and i was wondering if you could help i have put files on my sd card and cant get them onto the wii, the sd card on the bottom bottom of the sreen shows its empty why is this i have homebrew.

Well you don't access the files on the SD card from the SD card button on the bottom left of the Wii menu you have to access them from the Homebrew channel on the Wii menu.

All the apps that are shown in Homebrew should be in individual sub folders in the apps folder its the boot.dol file that runs them. The icon.png is the picture thats shown in Homebrew.

The SD card must be formatted FAT32 from Windows.

You can't use an SDHC card for softmodding. If you have a Wii version 4.0+ you can use one afterwards to store data.
