    help with usb loader gx

I was wondering if someone could tell me why, sometimes games do not load. Take for example i have top spin loaded on my usb drive, 1 day it will load the next it does not. Is there a setting i need to change? or is it just one of them things.
    Thanks in advance

I don't have top spin is that the only game that doesn't work out of how many?

Which USB Loader are you using?

I'd be tempted to remove all the games and format the drive to fat 32 then even the disc for bad sectors

You haven't said how its formatted FAT32, NTFS or WBFS? If its the first two then you could do a full Windows scandisk to check for any segment\file errors but this will take along time depending on its size.

A disk format will also report any errors but not as thougher as scandisk.

I meant wbfs, I tried what happy highlander suggested, removed all the games-formatted the drive, put the games back on, but still the same things happen. Any more suggestions please?

Try a different version of gx. If it is sometimes working but sometimes not, then it can only be either a faulty hdd or a bug with gx. If you google usb loader gx in the results you will see a web page for google source code. Go there and you will find all the different versions from the first one made right up to the current beta release, don't know what version you are currently on. It may be the 2.3 final or the stable r1128 depending on what file you used from the downloads section.

                      Usb hard drive problem

Please please help, this is driving me mad. Last night decided to try again, removed all the games formatted the hard drive to ntfs then run a error check and clean. Hdd found no errors on, so once again re-format to wbfs and re-loaded the games. I put the usb into the wii this morning and no games are showing. I have got a Toshiba 320 gig external hd. I have partitioned this to 2 x 160. On one side the ntfs i have all the iso's for my games and the other the wbfs i have my games. The problem is the wii is reading the ntfs partition saying there is x amount of space left. My question is how do i get the wii to load the wbfs partition and not the ntfs. Before i just put it in and it automatically read the wbfs partition first. I have obviously done something but do not know what or how to change it. Any help please?

So is this split drive just for iso backups in the NTFS drive space?

If your using GX I think there is a setting in the gears to choose which drive it uses. Mine is a full WBFS and it shows WBFS so it uses that if the drive was split it may show another option.

It may depend which is the first partition letter wise the WBFS would have to be the first and NTFS the second.
