need a bit of help for usb loader gx please

Hi all, I have dowloaded from here "usbloader gx2.3 r1128 and d2x v7 with mmm for installation".
I am reading the instruction and at the beginning tells me that I need to delete all usbloader gx channels that I have on the wii.

I am a bit confused now, I have softmodded my wii with modmii for windows and at the moment I only have CFG usbloader installed.
So do I need to remove cfg usbloader or could I leave it there? I would like, if possible, having both on my wii menu blocks.

ModMii only gives you an option to install CFG and WiiFlow I don't know why GX isn't available, the best one?

So you've put the usbloader_gx folder in the apps folder but there is another folder this app uses config on the root of the SD card thats where is stores all game pictures and settings.

Before you delete the GX Forwarder does it work, if it does then leave it? There is a CFG Forwarder and WiiFlow Forwarder if you want those channels.

You can leave CFG and WiiFlow on the SD card as they don't take up alot of room.

Thank for the reply, but I am a bit thick on these things....
I have another sd card with the two folders in (apps and wad) and I haven t yet put it inside the wii, because reading from the instruction I need to delete usbloader gx channel first.
This is from the instruction:

Extract the the wads and apps folders to a clean sd card.
Make sure you have deleted all usbloader gx channels or forwarders from the wii . To do this you goto the wii options bottom left of the main page, select data management, then wii channels. Select any gx channels you have and delete.
Put the SD card that you have just extracted the the two folders to in the wii, and goto homebrew channel.
Select Multi Mod Manager and load it.
Reload to IOS236 (reload to another ios is at the bottom of the list) click it and select 236.
Navigate down to wad manager with wiimote (third one down) and press A on wiimote to select.
Press 1 on wiimote to select all wads for batch install, then press A to install.
That's it you are all done.
You now have two options. You can use this sd card to load gx from or you can copy the usbloader gx folder to wherever you normally have your apps folder for your other loaders and apps.
Enjoy this version of usbloader gx. The techy info for it is that this is USBLOADER GX 2.3 r1128 that runs on ios249 as default and has just been updated on 19-11-11 to run full nand emulation for game saves and channels.


So, I before I took the sd card out and put the second one in with the two mentioned folders. I go to wii options, select data management then wii channels......at this point I have 4 channels
Wii speack
USB loader
internet
HBC channel

Because I have softmodded my wii with modmii I only have at the moment cfg usbloader that show on my wii channels. My question is: at this stage do I have to delete the cfg usb channel or can I keep it there because I haven't any gx channel installed at the moment?

Sorry for wasting your time, problem sorted, I have got all the d2x-v7 final installed and the two usb loader as well.....sorry again for inconvenience and many thanks again

I was going to suggest you install the d2x-v7 final wads as that cover all the USB Loader IOS's.
