    is there any way

    can u watch dvds via ur wii via external hdd.
    i have loads on hdd avi mp4 ect. but how to view em with wii if can. as divx player does not play thru usb so using rw data disc all time

      The Photo/Picture viewer will play avi's from a flash drive but it has to be a Wii avi file format not the standard avi there are convertors out that but the quality and video and functions are poor.

          thanx m8! will just stick to data dvd 4 now as cnt steam from my pc to tv

              Well I use VSO ConvertXtoDVD to burn films any format to DVD and watch them through the DVD player.

                          don't take the latest version of wiimc
                          it's not working perfect yet
                          there are some little bugs in it
