usb loader with a chipped wii

Hi all, after using this site to sucessfully soft mod my wii i am back for more help. My friend has ask me to do the same for him but i am not sure what to do. His machine has been chipped inside, he has the homebrew channel and can play backed up games, he wants me to install the usb loader so he can use a external hard drive. Now i did the same to his as i did to mine but i keep getting some errors. I try to install all the wads required but it keeps saying they did not complete. When i run the usb loader gx it comes up with gx requires at least cios222 or 245-250. E. The ios currently installed is ios58 v6176. It tells me that ios 222 is installed on the wii but when i try to reload to ios222 the wii just freezes, any help please. It is version 4.3e

Well if you have been reading the USB Loader GX threads on here you will read that all the USB Loaders need d2x v7.0 Final wads installing. There is d2x v8.0 in the download section but this will get it running for him. IOS58 is installed when you go upto 4.3.

If you want 222 installed then install all the wads in Full Cios wad pack it appears the D2x v7 wads are in there as well.

You could post a sysCheck report as stated in that link just to make sure nothing else is missing.
