If this is another way to get games to run cause discs don't work yet the read speed on an sd card will not be good enough for a standard game you run without glitching. Gc games work from sd, but if you do want to try there is a setting in your loader that lets you choose load from sd

You haven't figured it out if it doesn't work.

Did you only install the channel and not put anything on the SD card in apps?

But does it work if you run NeoGamma from Homebrew HBC?

I thought NeoGamma was only used for playing discs?

To use gx without an hdd connected you must use version 3.0 and that will give you the option to press the "b" button during the countdown to cancel the wait for hdd and launch gx allowing you to load from disc or whatever else it gives you the option to use for launching games but still with fully funtioning cios selection

I've tried pressing the 'B' button to stop the countdown on GX v3.0 but it makes no difference. It doesn't have to countdown the 19 seconds it shows.

i have usb loader gx 3.0 but after u press the b button it goes to the channel list and there is the disc icon at the top right hand side but nothing for the sd card. its ok tho i managed to run the game from sd card using neogamma running that from the sd card and having the game on a usb stick. i installed neogamma as a channel but if the sd card with the app isnt in then it just restarts the wii

Well as I said before you don't just install the NeoGamma channel and hope it works. There should be apps\NeoGamma folder with boot.dol, icon.png and meta.xml this is what runs if you try it from HBC. It also runs this from the channel but if you don't see NeoGamma in the list you don'r have these files in a sub folder.

There is also a NeoGamma folder on the SD card root which has all the settings in, well it did on my R8.

it doesnt work if theres nothing on the apps folder on the sd card but if there is and u run neogamma u can run games from disc sd card or even usb hdd

That is because neogamma does not have a full channel only forwarder so an apps folder with the correct files is required

Make sure it is plugged into the usb port nearest the edge of the wii and sometimes with a caddy you need to start gx then power on the hdd after the countdown starts if it didn't work when the hdd is switched on before gx is launched
