Anyone has a fix for wii remotes that doesn't turn on?

Power kept getting cut off during gameplay. Had changed batteries, resync, etc. Sometimes the wii remote doesn't turn on at all.
Anyone has a fix for this?

buy a new remote

I would open and check for hardware failures and cuts

I have the same problem, just no power at all, no lights - nothing.

Have tried the following -

new batteries
resynching the wii-mote with the wii.
checked to see if the infrared sensor bar is working

It seems dead, but don't fancy buying another one only to find that it could be something else.
