Update softmodded wii from 4.1 to 4.2e

Want to upgrade my softmod. wii V 4.1 to 4.2e.
Is there a way to update, without losing my softmod ?

So why do you want to upgrade 4.1 to 4.2 you may as well goto 4.3?

There is no real advantage apart from the extra channels like Shopping (which isn't much use), BBC iPlayer or the Internet channel, you get get these from ModMii.

If you Wii is less than 4.3 then it should update to 4.3 but you need an online connection. I've updated 4.2 to 4.3 it was a while ago I don't know if its been stopped since.

If I click on update on mine now it says there is something like 4126 update some 4 figure number but I've never clicked Yes, so updates must be available.
