Neogamma kicks back to wii menu

Hi, guys. Having a problem loading "My Personal Golf Trainer" backup. The wii recognizes the game in the "Disc Channel" I then try to load it using "Neogamma" it goes through the normal process, but then returns to the Wii menu screen. It only seems to do this with this one game. It's PAL version. Wii is 4.3E, WAD V1.4 and Neogamma R8 IOS 249 (Rev 17). Any help is appreciated.

How long have you had this problem or is it with "My Personal Golf Trainer" only?

I tried NeoGamma R8 when I softmodded mine 18 months ago but I couldn't get it to work. I burnt a game with ImgBurn at the slowest speed but it always brought back a DVD read error 1167. I use TDK DVD-RW discs because if thing don't work I can erase them. I bought the recommended Verbatim DVD+R discs but that made no difference. Drives after 2009 won't play burnt discs but mine in 2008. I'm not really bother as my USB Loaders work perfectly.

Do you have the latest d2x v.80 final wad pack installed?

You could post a sysCheck as instructed in that link to make sure you have the correct wads installed.

Hi Keith, it does the exact same using USB loader so it's not disc or drive related. Bit of a weird one. The Wii is 2006.

Well if you added the original game to USB Loader and it still doesn't play thats unusual. If its a download then it could be a bad download but there aren't many about.

This is one game I don't have so I will try it but its going to be very slow.

One thing you haven't been asked and it's mightily important........How do you know the game loads on cios 249 with base of 56.....Have you checked?????? and you are using an old version of neogamma have you tried it with Digital Kaos - Downloads - Neogamma R9beta56 with forwarder and mmm I wouldn't bother as you are restricted to using cios 249 only and with usb loader gx 3.0>>>>http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...=2214&act=down you can use disc loading without usb attached just cancel the countdown at the start then to mount disc in main settings (top right) the benefits of this is that you can now set which cios you wish toload the game with....Next question you are likely to have is how do I check which cios base the game uses.....Digital Kaos - Downloads - Wii backup manager 0.4.0 build 65 install this to pc then load game iso...when you see the game in the box scroll all the way across to the right and you will be shown the original ios the game uses to load e.g 37 means you want a cios with a 37 or 56 base 56 is 56 base 57 is 57 base the base is the number in the [] on the cios wads i.e ios249[56] or ios 250[57]...See how you go with that.

Well I've tried My Personal Golf Trainer on USB Loader GX and guess what it works perfectly.

So stick to USB Loader GX not NeoGamma.

He will have to use gx 3.0 to load from disc without an hdd attached, one other thing,,,, because a game works on hdd does not mean out will run from disc as dvdr can only be read at 3x speed as supposed to the 6x an original wii disc is read at. One example of this is ghost busters....it runs perfectly from hdd but to load it from disc you need to insert disc let it get to the warning screen then eject it at just the right time, then put the disc back in and it will load, if you don't follow that procedure you will be kicked back to the wii menu as the read speed is too slow for the post screen to initialise. Just another little but if useless info.....unless you use discs that is, then it's not useless.

I know games have to be burnt at a slow speed. The read speed is another reason to stick with USB Loader GX and an HDD.

Scarface hasn't been back since I don't know it he's given up?

Well if you need a game base 53 have you installed d2x v.80 final wad pack like I suggested?

                            cIOS247[53]-d2x-v8-final.wad

Game base 53 usually runs of a 56 base which is 249 but you could always try keith's suggestion and use 247 from d2x v8 pack
