Nintendo wii problem

My mate has a problem with her wii when she switches it on it comes up with refer to Nintendo wii operation manual tried to reset it and it won't read any discs etc. any ideas ?

As it been softmodded?

no not been soft modded, still in its original state.

Well if it hasn't been softmodded we need to know your Wii version. Click on Wii Options bottom left and click on Wii Settings the spanner and the version number will be shown top right.

If it isn't 4.3 the make sure the Wii is online and do a system update to 4.3 then use LetterBomb.

If you don't want to update then use ModMii there are plenty of tutorials on here.

I would say LetterBomb is the easiest way to softmod any 4.3 Wii. Thats what I would use because I know what extra files are needed after its softmodded. ModMii is good but you need to know what your selecting as its not very user friendly.

Try ModMii it won't do anything until you add all files to the SD card and install them.

You will need a 2GB SD card formatted FAT32 in Windows to softmod a Wii not an SDHC even thought 4.0+ Wii's can use them.
