but, is there a way to softmod the wii without having the actual game disc?
i remember original xbox softmod was through a gamesave exploit and there was a way to do it without having the disc.
my question is, is there a way to do this with the wii yet?
i dunno, maybe by d/loading gamesave from web and sticking it on an sd card?

Unfortunately if you have got an un-chipped wii you need to use zelda to install the HB channel so that the wii can be softmodded. If you have a chipped wii the HB channel can be installed without zelda via a standalone disk.

curses. remember the original xbox softmod where you could unhook the harddrive and put the d/loaded gamesave directly onto it? i was hoping i could d/l zelda gamesave and put it on an sd. oh well looks like its off to blockbuster to rent zelda
