all other buttons on the controller work but no hand on screen

put new batteries in controller, done a resync on front of wii and on the controller as well

Hold the sync button and the remote sync button together for a couple of seconds see if that helps.

now sorted

this is how I fixed it incase anyone has same problem

restart wii and when you get the health and safety screen press ands hold red sync button on front (behind flap) for 15 seconds - this clears any sync info in the wii

restart wii again

press red button on wii controller (take battery lid off) and quick press and release red button on front of wii

give it 30 seconds, all lights on wii controller will flash and once done the controller number will be lit up on free (1 blue light for controller one, 2 for controller etc)
