hi all i am new to this so if i have posted in the wrong place or its already been covered im sorry
so it goes like this its christmas day a little boy gets skylanders giants from santa so as you can imagine thats all he wants to play, so while i am having a shower i hear the wii and a few minutes later a very happy boy is playing, all was fine until the wife said the wii needed to be updated via the disc that was ok until i tried to load a game via the hard drive usb loader started then went to a black screen then a load of writting and numbers, that mean nothing to me, is it possible to reinstall the hd games and keep skylanders

I'm assuming your Wii was softmodded previously what system version is it?

If it was softmodded then PriiLoader 0.7 wasn't installed or setup to block any online or disc updates..

Please post a full sysCheck report as instructed in that link so we can see what your system is and which wads have been installed.

You could install Skylanders Giants to the HDD via the USB Loaders and save the original disc.

That wasn't a good report as you didn't follow the instructions give in that link.

Thats a sysCheck after its been softmodded and nothing else installed. You will see there are 15 stubs which you have to install certain wads to remove the stub word so it only shows 5.

Now that you have sysCheck.csv from the sysCheck download ModMii6.1.5 and run it from Windows. On the main menu type in SU and type in the location of the sysCheck.csv. Its easier to put this on the root of a drive as it saves typo's.

That will download all wads and apps that are missing into a COPY_TO_SD sub folder. Add all files and folders to your SD card and run Homebrew with the SD card inserted.

First of run IOS236 installer from Homebrew and install IOS36 as IOS236. Come back out and run Multi-Mod-Manager and select WAD Manager this will default to the wad folder install all wads in there. Watch for the Installed OK message after each one. If any don't install just try them again.

Now ModMii only installs 2 d2x v8.0 wads so you may as well install all the others. d2x v8.0 final pack

You need to install PriiLoader 0.7 to block online and disc updates.

After you've installed all the wads listed you can run a sysCheck again and it should say 5 stubs which is ok.

Then post a new syCheck as instructed in that link.

Anno and Ben 10 Alien Force aren't my type of game. I only have FIFA 12 and Call of Duty 3 and they both work on my system. To get Call of Duty 3 to work you have to change the game settings IOS to 250. You could always download them again.

So he could have bad downloads.
