How make Skylanders (original) run on softmodded 4.1E?

EDIT: Problem fixed - just found out the skip update on Priiloader was not enabled, just followed this guide - starting up the wii while pressing reset button: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=531RVoABFVQ"]Suppress Wii Disc Updates with Priiloader - YouTube[/ame]

Kids got a Skylanders Giant pack with the USB portal and figures for xmas. Alas, when inserting the DVD it wants to update system. Of course I do not run it.

I have homebrew and usb loader gx, my wii is 4.1E.
No problem running other original games like Mario Kart etc.

I do not remember what I used to softmod this, it is a year ago or more. Ran a syscheck, and the result is as following.

Anyone that knows a quick fix for this problem?

    sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and R2-D2199

Just reading the Skylanders online manual it says it checks if the Wii system is up to date meaning a 4.3 system. Your system is 4.1E so it asks you to update. This would mean that the update would remove the softmod so you would have to softmod it again if you want Skylanders Giants working.

    Happy New Year.

      is there not a workaround?

maybe install the dvd onto hard disk using your loader (cfg?)

then run the patches from the loader to run the game... have you tried that - assuming you are using a usb disk loader

        Here's the quick solution.

Rip the game to your USB drive and load it using CFG V70. Select the Skylander's game, goto options and load the game using Ios 223. In looking at your syscheck, you already have version 4 of hermes in slot 223 so it should boot up and recognize the portal or power. U should be able to play the game now..
