When you say a hacked Wii I assume you mean a softmodded Wii?

You need to know your Wii system version. Click on Wii Options bottom left then click on Wii Settings the spanner and the version number will be shown top right.

If its not 4.3 then you will need to do a system update you will need an online connection to the Wii. After its updated you can use LetterBomb to softmod it.

You will need a 2GB SD card not an SDHC card even thought v4.0> Wii can use them. It must be formatted FAT32 in Windows then extract all files and folder from letterbomb.zip to the SD card. After you have found the Wii MAC address and typed it into the link along with the type of Wii you have U, E, K or J. Insert the SD card in the Wii and open the Wii messages and click back a day or two until you see the red envelope click on it to start the install.

You must install all 3 options.

    1. Install Homebrew.
    2. Install BootMii.
    3. Prepare SD card - this will allow you to do a NAND backup striaght afterwards, don't miss this.

Then all you have to do is install all the wads necessary to run games of an external mains powered HDD.

I don't know if you can get football through the Wii as I hate football.
