SD card must to run wii games from USB ?

Hi,

I have a homebrewed wii. It has already the USB loader installed in it .... is it a must to have a SD card to play games from my USB Drive .... ?

I require a guide line for this.... Help please

From what I can remember (did my son's wii several years ago) yes - you need the sd card in place to run the loader, or it cannot "see" the hard drive....
