HI ,ive followed this thread for a while ive read lots of stuff and done all of the above to the letter without any problems , the wii is an old one that has a wiikey 1 , the grandkids have now found it (not been used or plugged in for ages)the question is i have games on discs that used to work with modchip but now will not play with softmod , could it be the quality of discs thats causing the problem or have i not done something i should of. thanks in advance.

p.s, i can post a syscheck file if needed.

I never used wiikey so if it isn't softmodded you need to do that then post a sysCheck19 report as instructed in that link so I can see if you've installed the necessary IOS's. If you've been following this thread to the letter then you must have read if you burn discs you need to use quality DVD's burnt at a slow speed with ImgBurn. Game discs aren't really worth doing as its cheaper to use an external USB hard drive.

It wasn't to clear, you have an older Wii thats been chippped with wiikey and your having problems playing burnt games that used to play with the modchip but not with softmod.

As I've said you need to post a sysCheck19 report as instructed in that link so I can see if you've installed all the necessary IOS's.

There doesn't look much wrong with that sysCheck only you don't have the d2x v8.0 final pack installed.

I see you have the older IOS236 I've just uploaded the new one IOS236-v5-Mod

If your determined to still use burnt game discs the try the newer Neogamma R9beta56 you will need d2x v8.0's installed.

Thats your best option to be honest. Don't think that every external hard drive is compatible they aren't. You really need a mains powered HDD not the USB powered passport drives as they use quite a bit of power to drive them which slows down game loading and running.

You haven't posted a new sysCheck after you've added the extra wads I've suggested?
