problem with soft mod

ok need some help now ,ive been playing around with soft mod for the wiii i downloaded everything i need put it onto sd card and managed without too trouble got on the homebrew channel usb loader and a few other things ,my problem is i read to much and want to do more i had homebrew channel on my wii and all my other stuff to day i went and done something not sure what but when i switch it on its a black scree with 4.3 europe in the bottom right hand corner?????mite add I can still play games ,when sd is inserted I can see home brew channel and every thing on card ,have I bricked it?


ok ignore this one I just did this. Hold reset, priiloader loads. Select system menu hacks- disable "force standard recovery mode"

Post a sysCheck19 report as instructed in that link so I can see if you have installed the correct IOS's.

There are generally only two things you need to set in PriiLoader. Disable online updates. Disable disc updates. I always remove the 'A' prompt safety screen.

The new priiloader sometimes sets that screen as default. Nearly caught me out once

I didn't think there was a new PriiLoader after PriiLoader v0.7.

I see that ModMii has been adding PriiLoader into apps for a couple of versions. I put it on my SD card and checked the version, PriiLoader 236 Mod 0.7 (r142), I still use the original.

0.7 is the new one some of us older fellows still have 0.3 and it works perfectly so don't fix what aint broke

I've only ever used 0.7 I don't know why you use 0.3 if you read the PriiLoader version updates As I've said ModiMii downloads PriiLoader 236 Mod 0.7 (r142) I thought you meant that new one.

I have found that 0.7 can have a glitch when you run it, it says can't find hacks.ini I know its on the SD card root and in the priiloader folder just in case. The next time I try it no problem. Also hacks_hash.ini is on the root and the app folder.

No offence keith but I can't see why you are giving me advice on soft modding . You have already answered why I still use 0.3..... it works without glitches and doesn't mess up anything else I do to make all games run. There's not many people that can claim to have every game run without issue.

No offence meant HH and I don't meant to give you advice on softmodding as you've been softmodding alot longer than me. I'm just passing on my experience with 4.3 Wii's as I've never bothered softmodded older ones I've always done a system update first. I just wondered why you still use 0.3 as there is the version history as shown, if it works for you then great.

All forums are discussion groups where users talk about there problems and users give their answers to that problem, you believe what you want to read there is nothing set in stone.

ok wii all done now i now have ,homebrew channel also have IOS installer ,PRI loader ,IOS patcher,MMM,USB loader,WIIFLOW.system checker ,homebrew browser,wii browser,wii earth,wiimc media player (i think this one is better than mplayer-ce ) wiimc allows you to play dvd watch you tube films form usb sticks ,also listen to mp3 music ,radio

You haven't mentioned NeoGamma but as I've said its not really worth having as HH will confirm.

Don't forget only original dvds will play using wiimc or mplayer (or that's all that played on the last version I installed) I doubt if it will have changed as most wii's can't play any disc so I'm assuming development will have stopped. The latest neogamma can now use cios other than 249 the same as the usb loaders so it is better than it used to be. There are two other things you haven't mentioned. One is dangerous but has the best disc compatibility and by having an old wii you will have bootmii as boot 2 making it slightly less dangerous for you this is of course darkcorp. I do not recommend you use it unless you know exactly what you are doing and what installing it does to your system. The other has the best compatability with usb loading but is tricky to install and very picky as to what hdd works with it. This is neek2o.
