    Help! 4.3U Wii Disaster :(

    Hi,

I recently followed a few youtube videos on how to get USB Loader GX to work with my flash drive (Install USB Hard Drive for Wii (USB Loader GX) - YouTube) but my Wii is acting up. I think some of these IOS's are old or maybe this tutorial is outdated. Whenever I try to use the Loader it goes black. I read a couple of threads on here but I'm just super newb with this and nothing is working. (Possible because I don't know how to install everything correctly) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Trying to Learn

Disaster no more! Thanks @KeithUK, I know you never responded to this and I'm new but I read your other posts and figured out all on my own!!

Just a heads up for people who may have ran into problems I had; I later figured out that the best method to solving your problems is to use ModMii. Part of the reason I was having so many problems loading backups and system file structure was because I was on a Mac. If you're looking to go the Mac route definitely install Parallels and a copy of Windows so you can access ModMii and Wii Backup Manager.

    Thanks again Digital-Kaos!

      Welcome to DK.

You posted twice today at 01:10 AM and 08:25 AM but I wan't here.

If you've found a solution with ModMii then I'm assuming you've read my other posts on the subject.

Your easiest thing to do now you have the sysCheck.csv file on the root of the SD card from the sysCheck is download ModMii6. 2.6 and run it from Windows. On the main menu type in SU and type in the location of the sysCheck.csv. Its easier to put this on the root of a drive as it saves typo's.

That will download all wads and apps that are missing into a COPY_TO_SD sub folder. Add all files and folders to your SD card and run Homebrew with the SD card inserted.

First of run IOS236 Installer from Homebrew and install IOS36 as IOS236. Come back out and run Multi-Mod-Manager and select WAD Manager this will default to the wad folder install all wads in there. Watch for the Installed OK message after each one. If any don't install just try them again.

Now ModMii only installs 2 d2x v8.0 wads so you may as well install all the others. d2x v8.0 final pack

You will need to install PriiLoader 0.7 to block online and disc updates.

      Then post a new sysCheck.

Hey Keith, thanks for the link to the final packs. Just installed the new cIOS's. How does my system look? Seems to be running pretty solid over here. Hope it's fully updated!

          Yes that sysCheck look ok.

If you want to remove that IOS16 stub just install my cIOS16-v257 wad, it won't improve anything only remove that stub.

So your now up and running with your USB Loaders?

You can click the Thanks button under the posts that I've helped you with?

          Happy gaming.
