4.3E GX loader 3.0 black screen "an error has occurred" all games

    Hi,

Just registered because I need help.
I have been trying to softmod my friends Wii with FW 4.3E for the last few days but I keep getting the same black screen right after launching any game.
Letterbomb worked fine, Homebrew channel works, cIOS installed.
Then installed the USB Loader GX.
The USB drive (wbfs) is working fine on my own Wii with GX.
But on this Wii, the games are displayed and when starting a game, the initial graphics are displayed.
When I then press start, the screen goes black and only after more than one minute there is a white text saying an error has occurred and I need to restart the Wii.

I tried different homebrew install procedures, different loaders, nothing helps.

syscheck below. Hope someone can point me in the right direction !!!

    Thanks in advance !

I'm surprised it says Could not detect the drive date! when you have IOS3 listed which is the same as mine Drive date: 2008.12.18

You have a few IOS's not installed. You can install these in one of two ways. Download my wad pack and install only the IOS's that say Stub or have the wrong base number like IOS20, IOS30, IOS40, IOS52, IOS60, IOS70, IOS80 and install them with MMM below

    I've never seen IOS90 or IOS199 before.

Or download ModMii6.2.7 and run it from Windows. Use the SU option from the main menu and find the location of the sysCheck.csv from the sysCheck. That will download all missing wads and apps to COPY_TO_SD sub folder just add all files and folders to the SD card and install them with Multi-Mod-Manager (MMM) v13.4.

Thanks for the quick reply !

Confused on what version to report, yes. I started with an unmodded 4.3e but now it shows 4.1e.
I did the complete MODMII install yesterday after posting so when I now did the SU thing, it doesn't download any wads anymore. It only wants to reinstall the homebrew channel, bootmii and priiloader. No point in that, I guess.
The drive date may have something to do with a previous hardware hack. I'm doing the softmod because the drive has issues reading many games.

Result after modmii is exactly the same, black screen.

      Here is the new syscheck.
I'm sorry but I am quite a newbee. I don't know how to interprete the results.
Also don't know what you mean with a wrong base number.

Well I checked your first sysCheck with mine and I saw slight differences so I suggested you download my wad pack and install only the IOS's that say Stub or have the wrong base number like IOS20, IOS30, IOS40, IOS52, IOS60, IOS70, IOS80 and install them with MMM.

You tried ModMii and that suggested no wads to install.

I see you second sysCheck is correct the same as mine so you must have installed something.

The base number means e.g. IOS249[56] (rev 21008 is 249 uses Base [56] I assume the rev number means revision number. HH will explain these base numbers in more detail when he comes around.

I know a said base number but I really meant rev number, some of you rev numbers were different.

        IOS20 (rev 54321) mine IOS20 (rev 16174)
        IOS30 (rev 65535) mine IOS30 (rev 16174)
        IOS40 (rev 3072) mine IOS40 (rev 16174)
        IOS52 (rev 5888) mine IOS52 (rev 16174)
        IOS60 (rev 65535) mine IOS60 (rev 16174)
        IOS70 (rev 65535) mine IOS70 (rev 16174)
        IOS80 (rev 54321) mine IOS80 (rev 16174)

Thats why I suggested you install these wads from my wad pack.

The other thing is all drive aren't compatible with Wii's which is a common mistake.

I googled around and probably this Could not detect the drive date! is the key.
Apparently it is not possible to use USB Loader GX without a working DVD drive. Wii Project - NO DVD drive present - not loading from USB | GBAtemp.net -> The Free Independent Video Game Community: 3DS, NDS, Wii, GBA, PSP, Hacking, Dingoo, PS3, Xbox 360...
Possibly the DVD drive circuit is bad or the modchip has come off.

Some suggest to use UNEEK/SNEEK on a system with a bad drive.
          I'll give that a try.
