What does a softmod Do ?

Hi Guys, just wondering once you have softmoded your Wii what does it enable you to do ? play back ups ?

Lets you run Homebrew apps, apps also you can install WAD flies which are games and apps. Plus backup games which is the biggy.

You can also use the HD USB Loader which is run from the SD Card or via a WAD file which is then installed directly to the wii memory.
