an error has occurred, please eject the disc?(usb loader gx problem)

Hello everyone. I've been trying to get usb loader gx to load games from my usb hdd for the last couple of days, but I just can't seem to get it working. I've read several threads here and tried installing wad packs, apps and cIOS versions before posting a new thread. But I still can't seem to get it working. usb loader gx sees the games and I even see a little preview before loading them. But when I load them, the screen goes black and I get the error "an error has occurred please eject the disc...". I have a partioned western digital passport of 2TB. one is ntfs and another fat32. I tried with both partitions, same problem. If anyone can help me out, that would be great. Thanks!

    Welcome to DK.

There is nothing wrong with that sysCheck its your 2TB passport drive that's the problem, they use too much power spin them up than the USB port can provide.

You need a 1TB mains powered HDD that will hold about 500 games.

All the new USB Loader will use FA32, NTFS and WBFS formatted drives.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try with another drive and report back.

Well a quick way is use the biggest USB flash drive you have.

You should get 2 games on a 2GB drive (formatted FAT32 or NTFS) providing you add them with Wii Game Manager because it adds games as WBFS files which are a quarter of the size of an iso file.

If they play then its the drive.

I just tried using a 8gb flash drive formated as wbfs and transfered the iso with "Witgui"(I'm on mac) to the drive, but I encountered the same problem. I also tried with a main powered one that is formated as ntfs, where I created a folder wbfs and placed the wbfs files in the folder. that didn't work either. the main powered drive should be supported by usb loader since it's in the list and I also see a preview of the game before I start it. I've also tried formatting the usb drive as fat32 and placing a wbfs file in a wbfs folder. also the same problem. I had another 32gb flash drive but usb loader didn't recognise it. Am I missing some kind of setting? Or did something go wrong with the cIOS files?

you could try using wbfs manager. format the drive using this, then add the games. this has always worked well for me

isne I don't know your system without a seeing a sysCheck19 report to see what you've installed.

I've always used WBFS Manager and its never failed.

well I also tried using wbfs manager on a pc and I got the same issue. maybe i should retry uninstalling and installing everything again. is there any good guide I can use? There are so many that I don't know which one is a good one.
