Games not booting from loader - Press Eject error

    Hi,
I am having a weird problem with my wii. At one point, it started giving me the 'eject disc, turn off and check the manual' error. I completely reconfigured my wii (re-installed bootmii, re-installed the HBC and re-installed the cioses and all that) and it worked again. For a bit. Several usb-loaders (cfg usbloader, usbloader gx, wiiflow, ..) could not get games to start anymore. So I put back my nand back-up, but nothing. Then followed onother guide (Re-installed bootmii, re-installed HBC, installed priiloader, configured priiloader, used modmii to install the cioses with the wadmanager). And it worked... just once. The next day, after only making a back-up with bootmii, I tried to start boom blox bash from cfg-usbloader, and I get the error again.
The exact error is: I click the game, a menu pops up with an animation of the game. I press start. It says ios reloading is blocked. Then it says loading.... The screen goes black. and after ~30 seconds it asks me to eject the disc and consult the manual.
Does anyone have any idea what might cause a wii to run a game after a clean install, but fails to run a second time?

    This is my syscheck btw:

Thank you Keithuk for your reply.
I have installed the d2x final (syscheck below), but still nothing. And I don't know if this is relevant, but with with actual DVD's I get the same error. Although I started having problems with DVD's way before the problems with the loader started.
Another thing I noticed: After a clean install and after installing the priiloader, the power button behaves differently. It immediately turns of when I push it. Until now, it looks like in that case, loading games with the loader works. But after playing just once, the power button is back to its old behaviour; hold for several seconds to turn off, push once for standby. And it doesn't work anymore.

When you say your having problems with DVD's are those original game DVD's, video DVD's or burnt DVD's? Video DVD's don't play very good on a 4.3 even with Mplayer-CE or WiiMC.

        Are you getting error number?

You have to hold my power button in or couple of seconds before it turn off. If you press the reset button PriiLoader runs.

Both original and burnt games won't start from the drive. I do not get an error number. Just
"An error has occurred. Press the eject button, remove the game disk, and turn off the power to the console. Please read the Wii operations manual for further instructions."

When starting games from cfg usbloader it says the following:
          Mario Kart Wii
          [RMCP01] 2,59 GB IOS36

[+] Spel wordt geladen (traslation Game is beind loaded)
          IOS 249
Geblokkeerd: IOS herladen (translation IOS reloading is blocked)

          Then after ~5 sec:
          Loading: .......................
Followed by a black screen giving me the error after ~30 seconds.

I know how to start the priiloader, but the point i was trying to make is that sometimes the power button responds differently. I do not have to hold it to turn off the wii. And when this happened i could start games from the loader normally. However after playing once, the power button behaves normally like you described and I can no longer start any games. I do not know if this is a coincidence - after all, it only worked twice - but I just noticed.

Maybe the wii is just too old. I think it's about 7 years old now.

Does anyone have suggestions of what I can try to get it working? I still feel that there should be a fix since I can get it to work, but only once after (1) putting back my backup of before the priiloader was installed, (2) reinstalling HBC and bootmii (3) installing priiloader and (4) reinstalling the ciosses needed to run the loader.

Its strange Could not detect the drive date! unless its an old Wii. It looks like its an updated 4.3 Wii because IOS3 is missing. Your sysCheck is the same as mine now you've added all 7 d2x v8.0 wads.

              sysCheck #MKWDueNa

Apart from IOS16, I you want that Stub to disappear then install my CIOS16 v257

Which settings have you changed in PriiLoader? You only need to enable Block online updates and Block Disc updates and I enable Auto-Press A at Health Screen.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try again with ios16 and minimal priiloader settings and report back next week (the wii is at my parents place). It is indeed a fairly old wii. I think it is safe to assume that it has been updated at some point to 4.3. I do not know exactly because I bought it second hand. It was already hard modded by the way.

I don't see any kind of problems, except that you need a few WADs for CIOS.
I suggest you, try to make the full reinstall with the "WiiDownloader" util, it will make the letterbomb xploit, and all the installable CIOS to use with a YAWMM.
It could help you, that was a solution for me a couple of times with a few Wii's from a friends.

So, there is other risky way you can try.
You have to update via WiFi you Wii's System Menu, and then, make a full reinstall with WiiDownloader.
This solution, its VERY RISKY but I had passed it fine more than 10 times, with 10 different consoles.
I had never seen any kind of brick.

So, if you have any doubt, Im hope can help you.

Hey all. Thanks for all the suggestions. It appears to be working for now, even after powering the console down. I seriously have no idea what the problem was exactly and if it will still work next week. But after reinstalling everything and including the cios 16 v257 that Keithuk suggested, it seems to be working now.
I noticed that that when booting cfg usbloader, it now says auto, wheras before is stated ios249. Maybe loading games that required another ios screwed things up before.
