Need help reinstalling homebrew channel and playing gamecube discs

Alright, I'm a bit new here so if anyone can help me out it would be appreciated. About a month ago I hacked my 4.3U wii with letterbox and installed a bunch of mios files to let my wii play gamecube isos. Well a few days ago I tried to play a gamecube game from the disc, but it wouldn't load. I assumed that the gamecube loaders were attemting to load the disc instead of the inbuilt emulator on the wii, so I deleted them, but the discs still wouldn't load. I went on to delete the homebrew channel and the wii loader, eventually completely formatting my wii's memory, but still id didn't allow me to play gamecube discs.
So now I'm trying to reinstall the homebrew channel with letterbomb, to perhaps install a mios file that could allow the discs too be played and delete any lingering files that are interfering, but whenever I select the letterbox icon in the wii message board, the wii freezes, much like it does when it tries to load a gamecube disc. If anyone can help me figure out what to do it would be greatly appreciated.

I never use gamecube discs so I can't help you with that part. Its strange if you click on the message board the Wii freezes after using registering with LetterBomb.

Make sure that your card is formatted to Fat32.
Make sure that write protection isn't turned on. You can check this by looking at the grey switch on the size of the card. Slide it, if you need to.
Check that you have your "boot.elf" on the root of your SD card. Otherwise, the letter won't have anything to boot.
SDHC has limited compatibility with some Wii homebrew. I suggest you try to get a 2GB or smaller SD card.
Finally, it is possible that your current cards are incompatible. Try using another SD card.

I have tried all of these things, but the wii still freezes upon selecting the leterbomb icon.

First of all, make sure you selected 4.3u and entered the correct address on the LetterBomb page.
          You should then try this:
          1)Disable WiiConnect 24
2)Unplug all peripherals like the Nunchuk, Wii Motion Plus, GC memory cards and etc.
3)Reformat your SD or SDHC card to FAT32 or FAT and copy the LetterBomb files over again.

and, if all else fails, do a system update then do letterbomb again
