Wii Disk Drive no longer reading disks

Im on 3.4E version, and it seems my drive is knackered, as it no longer loads games (wiikey2) chipped also installed on console.

My question is, can i softmod it also, so i can transfer my disk games to work from a usb loader (im assuming disk drive) has nothing to do with that

Plese advise, would save me a repair bill to be honest, as have SD card lying around as well as a spare 160gb harddrive

if you ok with opening it up .ther is a surface mout fuse that blows.i take it you mean it aint take n discs or ejecting them easy to do if you google it you will find the diagrams were to look.

its common for the dvd drive to go m8 and the boards .. theres a bit weak
