Hey there. I've been trying to figure out how to play backed up games off a 1TB USB hard drive for the past couple of days without much success. After fiddling around with a bunch of different settings, programs, and different custom IOS installs and the like, I still haven't been able to make it work. Currently, if I try to use USB Loader GX, it kicks me back to whatever loader I used to get there (HBC or Wii Menu) shortly after trying to run any game except Wii Sports. I finally got a lead after trying cfgLoader, where it told me "wbfs error: hd sector size doesn't match". As I understand it, some hard drives aren't compatible with these loaders due to the sector size being too large or something. If that's the case, then I'd like to know what to look for to find a drive that would be compatible with it. I also tried a 4GB USB flash drive, which also gave the same error. Both drives are formatted as FAT32. I tried for a long time to get them formatted as WBFS, but I think due to the sector size issue, it won't let me do that. (And I read somewhere that using WBFS is outdated and unnecessary anyway.) I've already copied my Wii library via USB Loader GX to the hard drive, and it recognizes the games without any trouble. Just can't run any of them besides Wii Sports, which is odd, because if the hard drive wasn't compatible, I would think none of the games would work.
As I've dug around through here, I've noticed it's common practice to use sysCheck and post the results so people here can easily see what I've installed, so I've put that below. I've tried loading games using a number of the custom IOS's installed, but none of them seem to work (249 is the default used). I'm not sure what else to do, so if there's anything else I can try short of buying a new hard drive, please let me know. Thanks.
