tried installing coverfloader as a channel on my wii but when i load it, it just goes back to the main wii system menu

it is easy to install but nobody is working on this loader so it has not been updated for a couple of years try cfgloader or wiiflow or usbloadergx

boot file problem

i have a wii that has been soft modded for nearly 2 years - i swapped the boot.dol file to try to achieve game play on some newer games after receiving a black error screen once coppied to the HDD the original boot.dol was only 457KB the replacements i have tried are twice to 4 times larger... having reinstalled the original boot.dol to the SD card the same problem exists inthat now it just black screens as soon as coverfloader tries to goto the covers screen... has it become stuffed... i understand it is very old but is there somtyhing i have missed with copy and replace or ???

Welcome to DK.

Coverfloader is actually old as this thread was started over 4 years ago. There are newer USB Loaders out there if you Google them. USB Loader GX, Configurable USB Loader, WiiFlow.

Post a sysCheck report as instructed in that link so we know whats been installed on your Wii.
