    Burned ISO issue

    Hi all,

I am currently using the wiiflow to dump my games onto usb hard drive and all is well. However I am struggling to get the wii ( softmoded ) to play backups from DVD.
I have used Imageburn and Nero and tried three different games in iso format. They burn fine, burned at 2 speed, but the wii doesnt recognise them.
I see from other postings there are no special settings required, just standard burn at low speed.

Any idea's other than change the brand of DVD currently using Bulkpaq, which always worked well with the xbox 360 on an old worn out tosh drive.

    Thanks in advance

I have just upgraded the firmware to 4.0E as someone believed that solved their problem. Upgrade went fine but still not able to read DVD-r discs but does read originals, so drive is working fine

Anyone recommend a make of DVD-r they know works or has anyone got any other idea's

    Thanks

    Lee

The wii is very sensitive to different media format, mine will read maxell no problems, but just modchiped one for neighbour and wont read them, but will read Sony DVD-R fine, so you will have to try diff manufacturers and find one that will suit.
Mine will also read the sony one's, so i'll stick with them for a while.
I think the wii's can have 3-4 different types of drives in them so its a matter of playing around with them!
                  Whatever!!

general consensus is Verbatim ones seem to be the most reliable for the Wii
