    Oh Shxt, updated my Wii!

    Hi Guys,
Think I need some serious help here!
Fitted Drivekey modchip to my Wii a few months ago, took the updates from some downloaded iso's which I played, but stupidly updated my Wii via wireless tonight(which I thought was ok to do).
I think it was at v3.4 now its at V4.2E, but it wont play any of my iso's now.
So before the wife beats me for ~~~~ing it up, can it be reversed and tbh I have no softmodding experience at all and I couldnt make any sense from the three stickies in this section!
I'm kinda begging for help here please!
    Thanks
    T

TBH mate, I think my problem answers your question, if you softmod/modchip wii, do not update!

            Well,
Got my wii softmodded from 4.2e, my friend done it for me.
Only thing is I have to pop out sd card on bootup, of it just freezes but at least i can play my backup again.
Thanks to 'akyboo' for his guide!
            Whatever!!

it doesnt just freeze it probably loads to BootMii screen which is only controllable via GC controller or by using the front buttons on the console at the moment, TeamTwiizers r working on a bluetooth stack for the MINI environment to solve this issue soon hopefully

about updating etc...having recently joined this site coming from a Wii-Scene background..the information and guides here are terribly either wrong or outdated.

i'll compile a 4.2 guide for this forum either tonight or in the morning , will have to check with DevilFish about the legal issues of hosting/linking to files..

but i'll compile it none the less

for more direct help please come to my IRC channel on Freenode at #fixmii or my other channel of #wiiflow (yes the new coverflow loader project)

              thanks

with respect, i've used both of akyboo's guides on a 3.2 and a 4.1 wii and they both worked no probs and i had no experience with softmodding - maybe it was a bit of luck i didn't brick my wii. If anything, i think the v4 guide will now probably be out of date as it was originally done for 4.1 - but if u can put a proper guide for a virgin wii on 4.2e i'm sure everyone will greatly appreciate it.

My friend that modded my wiii for said that he pulled info from several diff guides to get it to work, but work it did.
I'm sure if you do post up to date guide, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm wondering would it be ok for me to post the contents or external link of my sd card, maybe someone might know which files i have to delete for wii to boot up without removing it?
