just tried and no joy

mines is a version 4.1, so used a guide i normally use, and its seems to do a downgrade1o35.dol but when u try and change to ios35, it just freezes

if anyone has done a black wii, please let me know procedure. i personally dont care about the dvd drive, i have all my isos on harddrive, ready to plug n play

Trust me. They are softmodable. I used the 3.2 guide on gbatemp and it works a treat.

yeah but all black wii'scame with 4.1 firmware, how does the 3.2 one work. u got a link, no harm in trying i guess

managed to get the homebrew channel on the menu.
but still a long way to go
hopefully all else works, then i will be a happy man

hi, managed to install homebrew channel and stuff, but cant get usb loader to work, just get black screen

i cant seem to install any cisorev14 etc.. as soon as the screen comes with it says iso249 and the wii just freezes

any ideas anyone

My black wii came with 4.1e, so your saying if i update to latest firmware 4.2e i can softmod an play backups by dvdr as its softmodded at min but wont play any on 4.1e softmod
