    should i upgrade?

    hi should i upgrade to 4.2e ? i am on an older version of softmod an have recently found that some newer backups wont play like new super mario..(green screen)/.is this because of the software version i am running and if upgrade will that solve the new games issue? thnx m

    It'll remove your homebrew channel and you'll have to re-install it from scratch. You can get it back up and running and yes New SBM Wii works

      Not tried the new super mario game, but if your getting the green screen, try the neogamma loader I've posted in the 4.2E softmod tutorial m8, go to options and turn 002 fix to ON, then load the game, see if that works for ya.

          Just use the neogamma loader Mickey no need to upgrade m8.

            HI. SOFTMODDED MY WII SOMETIME BACK ,EVERYTHING OK,
            BUT I GOT A PRESENT OF NEW CALL OF DUTY AND CAN'T PLAY IT. I GET STARTUP SCREEN BUT JUST GET BLACK SCREEN WHEN I PRESS START. BOOK SAYS I SHOULD UPDATE BUT AFRAID I'LL BRICK IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED.

              Have you tried the Neogamma loader posted m8 ?
              I'm researching the new mario game, I believe it has to have the main .dol patched for it to work.
              Mines hasnt finished d/l yet so cannot confirm or deny.

                    Ok game loads no problem at all using the neogamma loader, and with the 002 fix to ON.
                    The game must be patched first peeps, this is the one I d/l
                    ind-nsmb-pal_maindol_patched.iso
                    I d/l from newsgroups, maybe the same version is on a torrent if you use torrents.

                      i think everyone should know v4.2 is just a update to deal with pircay it does nothing else.
                      It doesn't even really update the wii shop channel, it is something nintendo says to try and make you upgrade.

                        hi mate where do i put the neogamma folder is it in apps? then run it through homebrew channel? what options do i change ....?

                            No probs, update on this one, you need cIOS 15 installed , then run it through ULoader, using IOS 249 in the menu.
